It took a pretty gnarly yoga injury to end my love affair (obsession) with difficult asana and it begin a long and ongoing process of chipping away at my own ego. I realize I was abusing my practice and looking back I can consider it a blessing. I see now that I was performing #asana and not practicing yoga. A few years have passed and miraculously my body has healed (i thought it never would) in the process i learned to respect my body! I learned the difference between growing pains and irriversable damage! I learned that the most important part of my practice isn't necessarily asana and I learned that I can still progress on this journey, even if that means I'm not standing on my hands. My goals have changed and I'm greatful for all of the wisdom my practice continues to bring. #tbt #namaste #fatyoga #yoganoire #curvyyoga #namaslay #curvyfitclub #yogiofcolor #blackyogis #yogawisdom #exhale #outdoorbella #liforme A post shared by Jessica (@round_the_way_gal) on Feb 8, 2018 at 9:51am PST
