Wombat and butterfly survive Tallaganda bush fires!

Tallaganda Fire Zone update - what you are doing with us with your donations Wombat and butterfly - how did they both survive? There is nothing for miles and yet we can be filling a water station and suddenly there is a butterfly. How? We don't know but its incredible to see. A skink in the middle of nowhere and bearded dragons at the water stations. This week, because of your donations, we took out over $2,000 of food and water. We continued to assist land owners with further food drops and were able to monitor the existing food stations for activity. And we are THRILLED to say there is a lot of activity. Its heart warming. How the firies dealt with these fires is unbelievable and how anything has survived.....mind blowing. But this New Year when you say 'cheers' because of your contributions, there will be animals saying 'cheers' too as they drink and feed - priceless. So we found more wombats, bearded dragons, butterflies, skinks, birds, wallabies and kangaroos alive. With the wombats, some of the adults would simply never have come back to their joeys in the burrow for obvious reasons. So we now have the additions Blaze and Chari from the fire areas who have joined the sanctuary. We have gotten into a good routine with the water stations, digging them in, filling them up, next one and so it goes on while others do the feed. So we hope you are all feeling great about what you are helping us achieve for the animals who have survived by some miracle.
